BMBF “Intensifying cooperation with Poland, Baltic States, Scandinavia and Russia in further education and application-oriented research”

In order to further advance the technology transfer and also the innovations in the Baltic Sea region, a sustained structure is required. In particular, the potentials of cooperation in research and development in the field of plasma technology can be further developed. The complete know-how of the Baltic Sea region is concentrated in a project or in multiple projects through the integration of new and existing network partners.

Through this financed project (BMBF Cooperation), the network BalticNet-PlasmaTec becomes a visible point for the initiation of international projects in the field of plasma technology. This enables the integration in particular of German partners in international research activities and also in education and training activities. The standardised training and recruiting of young scientists are future challenges, to which the cluster partners have to face. Therefore, the cooperation in such projects (e.g. Erasmus, Marie Currie) is necessary. The development of new innovative products and processes in the region will be secured in the long term, thus achieving sustainable economic development.
