The project is based on the ambition to strengthen cross-border collaboration and internationalisation of project partner SME towards Europe and specific third countries by supporting the establishment of an European Strategic Cluster Partnership in the emerging industry of advanced packaging and providing high-standard added value services.
The AdPack project partners bring together different competencies that enable to strengthen the smart advanced packaging global value chain and favour a crosssectoral approach fostered by a combination of a market driven cluster (food), technologies (nanotechnologies, plasma technologies) and new materials (plastic) with final application cluster (packaging). Within the project lifetime, an ESCP Partnership Agreement and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) will be signed by the consortium, affiliated entities and strategic European and third market partners. These Partnership Agreement and MOU will aim to transparently define the framework and mechanisms of collaboration, as well as other aspects such as protection of IPR or internationalisation support actions to be jointly implemented.
To better address the SME needs, a list of services and good practices for internationalisation and collaboration support of SME will be provided by the ESCP. Aiming to foster cross-border collaboration, trust building, matchmaking and networking, 4 working missions (including 16 events) in 4 different countries will be organised.
Project activities will also represent an intelligence gathering exercise that will sustain the preparation of the joint internationalisation strategy. This will include the Partnership Agreement, the internationalisation strategy plan and an implementation roadmap for the project defined target countries, including actions to be implemented by the ESCP in the mid- and long-term to support project partner SME to go international.
